Nghiên cứu nhằm mục tiêu đánh giá hiệu quả sử dụng gói đa vi chất kết hợp truyền thông lên tình trạng nhân trắc của trẻ từ 6 - 11 tháng tuổi tại huyện Quảng Xương tỉnh Thanh Hóa, phân loại chỉ số nhân trắc theo WHO (2006). 360 trẻ tham gia can thiệp, chia thành 2 nhóm theo chỉ số nhân trắc, tháng tuổi và giới. Nhóm can thiệp bổ sung gói đa vi chất MNPs Bibomix, 1 gói/1 ngày; 5 gói/1 tuần, thành phần gồm 15 loại vitamin và khoáng chất, kết hợp truyền thông dinh dưỡng, nhóm chứng dùng gói giả dược truyền thông dinh dưỡng, thời gian 12 tháng. Kết quả chỉ số cân nặng, chiều dài, Z-score chiều dài/tuổi, Z-score cân nặng/tuổi, Z-score cân nặng/chiều dài, trung bình sau 6, 12 tháng tại nhóm can thiệp cải thiện tốt hơn nhóm chứng. Hiệu quả hỗ trợ điều trị sau 6 tháng và 12 tháng với suy dinh dưỡng thấp còi và nhẹ cân lần lượt là 16,6%; 32,2% (p < 0,05) và 23,6%; 14,3%. Nghiên cứu cho thấy hiệu quả rõ rệt sau 12 tháng can thiệp, do đó nên nhân rộng nơi có nguy cơ trẻ bị suy dinh dưỡng cao.

The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of using a multiple micronutrient powder (MNP) package combined with nutrition communication on the anthropometric status of children aged 6–11 months in Quang Xuong District, Thanh Hoa Province. Anthropometric indices were classified according to WHO standards (2006).

A total of 360 children participated in the intervention and were divided into two groups based on anthropometric indices, age in months, and sex. The intervention group received Bibomix MNPs (1 sachet/day; 5 sachets/week), which contain 15 vitamins and minerals, along with nutrition education. The control group received placebo sachets and nutrition education. The intervention lasted 12 months.

The results showed that the average weight, length, length-for-age Z-score (LAZ), weight-for-age Z-score (WAZ), and weight-for-length Z-score (WLZ) in the intervention group improved more significantly than in the control group after 6 and 12 months. The supportive treatment effect for stunting and underweight was 16.6% and 32.2% after 6 and 12 months, respectively (p < 0.05), and 23.6% and 14.3% for underweight.

The study demonstrated a clear improvement after 12 months of intervention, suggesting that this approach should be scaled up in areas with a high risk of child malnutrition.
