Summary:
The roles of protein and multi-nutrients in children diet are essential, particularly for their growth and development. Diet quality of rural people is remarkably poor compared to that of urban people. The objective of this research is to creat a product that can provide neccessary daily nutrient and multinutrients for children at low cost and in small packages, suplementing their daily diet aiming to the improvement of nutrition quality and prevention of micronutrient deficiencies. The defined objectives of this research have been achieved, based on the following outcomes:
- The recipe of this product has been completed, partially meeting nutrition recommended requirements for the age group in vitamins, minerals and protein.
- The technology process for producing food fortified with protein and multinuttrients has been developed and completed.
- Pricing for this product has also been calculated.
