Nghiên cứu nhằm đánh giá thực trạng thiếu máu (TM), yếu tố liên quan ở trẻ em <5 tuổi - phụ nữ có thai - phụ nữ tuổi sinh đẻ tại 3 phường nội thành, 3 xã ngoại thành Hà Nội. Kết quả cho thấy tỷ lệ TM vẫn phổ biến ở mức vừa và nặng về mặt YNSKCĐ: nữ có thai: 36,3%; nữ không có thai: 25,5%; Trẻ em: 34,5%. TM tăng dần theo tuổi thai: từ 16,7% đến 53,4%. TM ở trẻ em gặp nhiều nhất ở nhóm < 12 tháng tuổi (54,3%), sau đó giảm dần và đạt 23,1% ở trẻ 48-<50 tháng. Tỷ lệ TM chủ yếu là vừa (12,5% & 14,9%) và nhẹ (20,4% & 19,6%), mức nặng (1,5% & 1,8%) theo thứ tự cho trẻ em và phụ nữ có thai. Điểm kém về kiến thức phòng chống TM làm tăng ý nghĩa (p<0,01) nguy cơ thiếu máu. Điểm kém về thực hành có nguy cơ bị TM cao ý nghĩa (OR=15,4; p<0,001). Kết luận: TM vẫn phổ biến ở trẻ em và phụ nữ tuổi sinh đẻ ở Hà Nôi. Kiến thức và thực hành phòng chống TM kém có liên quan ý nghĩa với TM. Cần chuyển tải những thông điệp truyền thông cụ thể, chi tiết về kiến thức, cũng như thực hành phòng chống TM đến cộng đồng.

The study was carried out in order to assess the prevalence of anemia and risk factors of anemia in children < 5y, and in women of reproductive age in 3 sub-districts and 3 suburban communes of Hanoi. The results indicated that anemia is still in moderate and severe levels of public health: 36.3% in pregnant women; 25.5% in non-pregnant women; 34.5% in children. Anemia prevalence increased during pregnancy: from 16.7% to 53.4%, respectively for the first trimester and the last trimester. Anemia is most frequent in children aged < 12 month olds (54.3%), and then in 48-<50 mo olds (23.1%). Mild anemia is 12.5% & 14.9%, moderate anemia is 20.4% & 19.6%, and severe anemia is 1.5% & 1.8%, respectively for children and pregnant women. Lack of knowledge on  anemia increased significantlly (p<0.01) the risk of anemia. Poor practices related to anemia increased the risk of anemia  (OR=15.4; p<0.001). Conclussion: Anemia is still very prevalent in children and women of reproductive age in Hanoi. Knowledge and practices to prevent anemia are significantlly related to anemia. The detailed informations on anemia and its prevention need to be transfered to everyone of the population.
