Nghiên cứu trên 599 đối tượng gồm 295 nam và 304 nữ tuổi từ 25-74 tuổi tại 4 quận nội thành của Hà Nội nhằm xác định tình trạng dinh dưỡng, các chỉ số lipid máu và xác định một số yếu tố liên quan đến tình trạng rối loạn lipid. Các thông tin về trình độ văn hóa, thói quen sinh hoạt, ăn uống được thu thập bằng bộ câu hỏi. Thu thập các chỉ tiêu nhân trắc và xét nghiệm máu để xác định các chỉ tiêu sinh hóa. Kết quả là  41,6% đối tượng có BMI > 23. Tỷ lệ đối tượng bị rối loạn ít nhất một thành phần lipid máu là 59,8%, tỷ lệ tăng cholesterol đơn thuần chiếm 47,2%, tỷ lệ tăng triglycerid là 38,4%, tỷ lệ tăng phối hợp cholesterol và triglyrid là 25,9%. Tỷ lệ mắc hội chứng chuyển hóa (HCCH)  theo tiêu chuẩn NCEP-ATPIII là 21,9%. Có mối liên quan giữa tình trạng rối loạn lipid máu với vòng eo/vòng mông (VE/VM)  cao, thừa cân béo phì (TC-BP), tiêu thụ thức ăn động vật, dầu mỡ. 

The study among 599 people including 295 men and 304 women from 24 to 74 years old at 4 old urban districts of Hanoi aimed to identify nutritional conditions, blood lipid indices and some factors associated with lipid disorder. The information on education levels, daily activities, and eating and drinking habits was collected by a questionnaire. Anthropometric indices and blood analysis results were also collected. There were 41.6% of the people having overweight - obesity. The percentage of people having blood lipid disorder was 59.8%; the rate of purely high cholesterol level in blood made up 47.2%, the rate of high level of blood triglyceride was 38.4% and the rate of combining high cholesterol and high triglyceride in blood was 25.9%. The rate of people suffering from metabolic syndrome in accordance with the standard of NCEP-ATPIII was 21.9%. The relationships between blood lipid disorder and high VE/VM, overweight - obesity, as well as the intake of animal source, fat and oil foods were found.
