Cỏ sữa lá lớn (Euphorbia hirta L.) là dược liệu có tác dụng giảm chỉ số đường huyết, được sử dụng trong phòng và chữa bệnh đái tháo đường nhờ khả năng ức chế hoạt tính của hai enzyme thuỷ phân tinh bột trong cơ thể người là α-amylase và α-glucosidase. Hoạt tính ức chế enzyme α-amylase và α-glucosidase in vitro của cao chiết nước cỏ sữa lá lớn được xác định bằng phương pháp quang phổ hấp thụ phân tử UV – VIS. Kết quả: Cao chiết nước cỏ sữa lá lớn có khả năng ức chế enzyme α-amylase (IC50 = 967 µg/mL) và ức chế enzyme α-glucosidase (IC50 = 53,96 µg/mL). Đồng thời, khả năng ức chế enzyme α-amylase và α-glucosidase có mối quan hệ tương quan với hàm lượng flavonoid tổng trong cao chiết nước cỏ sữa lá lớn, với giá trị IC50 tương ứng lần lượt là 17,6 µg/mL và 0,982 µg/ml.

Euphorbia hirta L. (Cỏ sữa lá lớn – CSLL) is a herbal medicine that could reduce the glycemic index. It is used in the prevention and treatment of diabetes thanks to its ability to inhibit the activity of two starch hydrolyzate enzymes in human body, which are α-amylase and α-glucosidase. The inhibitory activity of inhibiting enzymes (α-amylase and α-glucosidase) in vitro of CSLL extract was determined by UV-VIS molecular absorption spectroscopy. The results of the study showed that extract of Euphorbia hirta L. was able to inhibit α-amylase enzyme (IC50 = 967 µg / mL) and inhibit α-glucosidase enzyme (IC50 = 53.96 µg / mL). At the same time, the study results also showed that inhibition of α-amylase and α-glucosidase enzymes was correlated with total Flavonoid content in extract of Euphorbia hirta L., with IC50 value of 17.6 and 0.982 µg / Ml, respectively.
