Nghiên cứu nhằm đánh giá các điều kiện vệ sinh an toàn thực phẩm tại 20 bếp ăn trường tiểu học có bán trú của quận Đống Đa, Hà Nội đã được tiến hành từ tháng 2 đến tháng 8 năm 2007. Kết quả khảo sát đã chỉ ra rằng: 50% số bếp ăn không đảm bảo vệ sinh nước và dụng cụ ăn uống theo quy định của Bộ Y tế. Các mẫu thức ăn đều đảm bảo vệ sinh an toàn nhưng đã có tới 15% số mẫu nước uống và trên 40% số mẫu dụng cụ phục vụ ăn uống nhiễm Colifoms vượt quá giới hạn cho phép. Các trường cần quan tâm hơn nữa việc cải thiện điều kiện vệ sinh an toàn thực phẩm tại các bếp ăn thông qua việc áp dụng các quy định đảm bảo nước sạch và thiết kế bếp ăn hợp vệ sinh.

The assessment of food safety and sanitary conditions at 20 kitchens of half day boarding primary schools in Dong Da, Hanoi was carried out from February to August, 2007. The results indicated that: 50% of kitchens did not meet with the sanitary conditions and water supply requirements of the Ministry of Health. The samples of cooked foods were safe but 15% samples of drinking water and more than 40% of eating utensils were contaminated with Coliforms. It is recommended that the primary schools should pay more attention to improve the food safety and sanitary conditions by implementing safe water supply  regulations and designing the kitchen following the requirements.
