Để bước đầu đánh giá mức độ phơi nhiễm thuốc bảo vệ thực vật trên rau quả, một khảo sát về dư lượng các thuốc bảo vệ thực vậ do Tổ chức Y tế thế giới tài trợ đã được tiến hành ở 3 thành phố lớn là Hà Nội, Huế và Tp Hồ Chí Minh. Năm loại quả (125 mẫu) và 8 loại rau thông dụng (200 mẫu) được thu thập từ các chợ trên thị trường các thành phố để phân tích dư lượng các thuốc bảo vệ thực vật nhóm chlo hữu cơ, lân hữu cơ và carbamate. Thời gian thu thập mẫu và phân tích từ tháng 12/2004 đến tháng 4/2005. Kết quả khảo sát cho thấy 36 mẫu có tồn dư thuốc BVTV (11,1%). Trong đó có 6 mẫu (1,8%) vượt mức cho phép, 24 mẫu (5,2%) có tồn dư dưới mức cho phép, 6 mẫu còn lại có chứa các thuốc BVTV không nằm trong danh mục hiện hành. Dư lượng thuốc BVTV chủ yếu tìm thấy trong các mẫu rau lá. Trong tổng số 250 mẫu rau, quả nội địa, dư lượng thuốc BVTV được tìm thấy trong 10% số mẫu, trong đó 2,4% số mẫu không đạt quy định cho phép và 1,6% số mẫu chứa thuốc BVTV được tìm thấy trong 14,7% số mẫu nhưng không có mẫu nào vượt mức cho phép ở Việt Nam.

Abstract:
To determine the exposure of the consumer to food contaminated and what pesticides people possibly consume, a baseline survey on pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables was performed in 3 cities including Hanoi, Hue and Ho Chi Minh city. The samples were collected from wholesale markets in these locations. Five kinds of fruits (125 samples) and eight kinds of vegetables (200 samples) were selected as common representatives of the Vietnamese diet. During the 6 months of study (December 2004- June 2005) 325 samples were analyzed and 975 analyses performed. This study demonstrated that pesticide residues in 6 samples (1.8%) was above the MRLs. In the remaining 6 samples (1.8%) the residues detected have no regulation in Vietnam. Pesticide residues were found more frequently, especially in leafy vegetables. Among the total of 250 domestic samples, residues were found in 10% of samples. There were 2.4% of samples, which are not conforming to the national MRLs, and 1.6% of samples contained residues with-out official regulation. Among the total of 75 imported samples ( pears, apples, mandarins), residues were found in 14.7% of samples, but none of the samples contained residues above the Vietnamese MRLs.
