Nghiên cứu mô tả tình trạng thiếu năng lượng trường diễn, thừa cân béo phì và mức tiêu thụ lương thực thực phẩm trung bình của người 16-60 tuổi tại xã Duyên Thái, tỉnh Hà tây, một địa bàn thuộc vùng đồng bằng sông Hồng. Kết quả cho thấy tỷ lệ thiếu năng lượng trường diễn của người trưởng thành là 22,2% và tỷ lệ thừa cân béo phì là 16%. Tạo nên gánh nặng “kép” của suy dinh dưỡng: thừa cân béo phì và thiếu năng lượng trường diễn cùng song song tồn tại. Tổng số năng lượng của khẩu phần ở nhóm thừa cân béo phì cao hơn so với nhóm thiếu năng lượng trường diễn (t test, p<0,05).

Abstract:
This study aims to investigate the presence of chronic energy deficiency and overweight of adults in one commune of the Red river delta and their dietary intake. Results indicate that there is the coexistence of CED and overweight of adults in this commune with respective prevalence of 22.2% and 16.0%. The average value of overweight percentage is increased with age contrary to the average prevalence of CED. Concerning dietary intake, this study reveals that there is a significance difference of average energy intake between two groups. There is a need to formulate appropriate action to address this double burden of malnutrition timely.
