Mục tiêu: Đánh giá tình trạng dinh dưỡng, kiến thức, thực hành về dinh dưỡng của người lao động (NLĐ) thuộc hai nhà máy dệt may, da giày tại tỉnh Nghệ An và Nam Định năm 2023.

Phương pháp: Nghiên cứu cắt ngang trên 1974 người lao động tại nhà máy da giày tại tỉnh Nghệ An và 1892 người lao động tại nhà máy dệt may tại tỉnh Nam Định. Các đối tượng được đo cân nặng, chiều cao, vòng eo, vòng mông để đánh giá tình trạng dinh dưỡng. Phỏng vấn bằng mẫu phiếu được thiết kế sẵn để đánh giá kiến thức, thực hành về dinh dưỡng hợp lý.

Kết quả: Tỷ lệ thiếu năng lượng trường diễn (CED) chung của người lao động tại cả hai nhà máy là 8,2%. Tỷ lệ thừa cân-béo phì là 11,5%. Tỷ lệ béo bụng là 8,77%. Tỷ lệ béo trung tâm là 35,05%. Tỷ lệ người lao động thiếu kiến thức-thực hành về dinh dưỡng của cả hai nhà máy là 37,14%.

Kết luận: Tỷ lệ thiếu năng lượng trường diễn giảm, trong khi thừa cân béo phì tăng ở người lao động ngành dệt may, da giày. Sự thiếu hụt kiến thức và thực hành về dinh dưỡng cho thấy cần thiết phải chú trọng hơn đến giáo dục dinh dưỡng cho người lao động.

Aims: To assess the nutritional status, knowledge and practices regarding nutrition of workers in two textile and leather factories in Nghe An and Nam Dinh provinces in 2023.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 1,974 leather workers in Nghe An province and 1,892 textile workers in Nam Dinh province. Subjects were measured for weight, height, waist circumference and hip circumference to evaluate nutritional status. A questionnaire was used to assess the workers' knowledge and practices regarding proper nutrition.

Results: The overall prevalence of chronic energy deficiency among workers in both factories was 8.2%. The prevalence of overweight and obesity was 11.5%. The prevalence of abdominal obesity was 8.77%. The prevalence of central obesity was 35.05%. The percentage of workers lacking knowledge and practices about nutrition in both factories was 37.14%.

Conclusion: The rate of chronic energy deficiency was decreased, while the rate of overweight and obesity was increased among textile and footwear workers. The lack of nutrition knowledge and practices highlights the need for greater emphasis on nutrition education for workers.
