English summary: A cross-sectional study was conducted in 210 children aged 18- 60 months in some communes of Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province. Motor-cognitive development of children was assessed using Ages & Stage Questionnaire (ASQ) test. The result showed that prevalence of children below the cut-off zone of communication was 16.2%; below the cut-off zone of gross motor was 18.1%, below the cut-off zone of fine motor was 16.7%; below the cut-off zone of problem solve skill was 12.4%; and below the cut-off zone of personal social skill was 14.8%. Prevalence of children in monitor zone of communication, gross motor, fine motor, problem solve and personal social skill was 18.6%; 13.3%; 29.5%; 23.3% and 19.6%, respectively.

Tóm tắt tiếng Việt: Một nghiên cứu cắt ngang mô tả trên 210 trẻ em từ 18-60 tháng tuổi tại một số xã thuộc huyện Nam Trực, Nam Định. Đánh giá phát triển tâm vân động của trẻ bằng test ASQ. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy: Tỷ lệ chậm phát triển kỹ năng giao tiếp của trẻ là 16,2%, chậm phát triển kỹ năng vận động toàn thân của trẻ là 18,1%; chậm phát triển kỹ năng vận động tinh của trẻ là 16,7%, tỷ lệ trẻ chậm phát triển kỹ năng giải quyết vấn đề là 12,4%, chậm phát triển kỹ năng cá nhân- xã hội  là 14,8%. Tỷ lệ trẻ có kỹ năng giao tiếp, vận động toàn thân, vận động tinh, kỹ năng giải quyết vấn đề và cá nhân xã hội ở mức nghi ngờ tương ứng là 18,6%; 13,3%; 29,5%; 23,3% và 19,6%.
