On April 10, 2024, at the Institute of Nutrition, the signing ceremony of Comprehensive Development Cooperation took place between the Institute of Nutrition and Hunmed Pharmaceutical Company Limited.
In his welcoming speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thanh Duong - Director of the Institute of Nutrition said that the Institute of Nutrition, with more than 40 years of establishment and development, has the functions and tasks of researching, training in nutrition and food, testing food safety, examining and consulting on nutrition, etc. Currently, we are facing nutritional burdens such as malnutrition, overweight and obesity, micronutrient deficiencies and non-communicable diseases.

To solve nutritional problems, some products of Hunmed Company are being deployed: BioAmicus, Ferrolip baby, Biolizin, Bioamicus help supplement probiotics, micronutrients (iron, zinc, calcium, vitamins) to help improve micronutrient deficiencies, help improve stature and health for children to develop comprehensively both physically and mentally.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung - Director of Hunmed Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. presented at the Ceremony, saying that the Company is looking forward to cooperating with the Institute to deploy nationwide, prioritizing disadvantaged provinces, places with high risk of malnutrition and micronutrient deficiency. The activities that the company will accompany the Institute for 5 years include:
- Organize training to improve nutritional knowledge for employees and officers of the Hunmed company system;
- Professional advice on nutrition and health; Organize seminars and talkshows on nutrition.
- Organize scientific conferences on nutrition, the role of micronutrients and probiotics for young children.
- Coordinate intervention research, clinical trials, and evaluate the effectiveness of probiotic and micronutrient supplements on the health and nutritional status of young children.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thanh Duong discussed the cooperation between the Institute of Nutrition and Hunmed Pharmaceutical Company Limited: micronutrients introduced into the body through daily meals are not enough compared to the recommended needs of Vietnamese people, so it is necessary to supplement daily micronutrients. Nutrition and food are very important, but the efforts of the health sector alone are not enough, but it is necessary to have the participation of all levels, sectors, and the entire political system, as well as the active contributions of organizations and businesses.
