Summary of the training course on demand organized by the Institute of Nutrition for staff who are doctors, nurses... working at provincial and district general hospitals in some provinces nationwide.

In addition to the goal of equipping basic nutritional knowledge, providing knowledge about therapeutic nutrition, the course for the first time applies theoretical teaching combined with direct practice on specific patient cases on treatment with specific nutritional interventions for some common diseases today. At the same time, providing knowledge and practice on how to organize, manage and supervise the activities of the hospital's nutrition department for trainees.

The lecturers - who are leading experts in the field of nutrition, therapeutic nutrition and food hygiene and safety, currently working at the Institute of Nutrition, Ministry of Health, Central Hospitals, have transferred knowledge and practical experience to the trainees during 5 weeks of theory (concentrated study at the Institute of Nutrition Training Center), 2 weeks of practice at Bach Mai Hospital, 2 weeks at Ha Dong General Hospital and 2 days at the Geriatric Hospital.

 At the end of the training course, the trainees all realized that Nutrition plays a very important role in supporting treatment to improve the health status of patients, the trainees can build a nutritional care process for diseases, build a menu for some diseases and complete the project to build a nutrition department. The trainees expressed their wish that the Institute of Nutrition will continue to support them so that they can apply the knowledge and experience from the training course to the treatment of patients to increase the effectiveness of treatment at hospitals.

- On February 28, 2017, the Center continues to open a 3-month training course on: Nutritional treatment and Nutritional consultation for staff working at Hospitals, Preventive Medicine Centers, Centers for Reproductive Health Care, Universities and Colleges. At the same time, the course also meets the needs of other individuals who need training.

- Form: Full-time study at the Institute of Nutrition

- Certificate: students are granted a 3-month certificate and study in 2 sessions.
