2. Functions: The department conducts applied research in the field of school and occupational nutrition, conducts experiments and proposes solutions to improve the nutritional status and health of school-age children (including adolescents) and other occupational groups in society.

3. Tasks:

- Research and develop nutritional needs and meal structures for school-age children, adolescents, and other occupational groups in society in accordance with physiological status, working conditions, and socio-economic conditions.

- Monitor changes in nutritional status and lifestyle related to nutrition of school-age children, adolescents and workers in different sectors of society.

- Research the current situation and solutions to improve nutritional status of school-age children, adolescents and workers in different sectors.

- Participate in training, communication and education activities and provide guidance in the specialized field. Strengthen domestic and international cooperation for professional development.

- Perform other tasks assigned by the Director.
