The study aimed to assess actual food intake of adult people living with HIV (nonpregnant, non-lactating) registering at 29 Outpatient Clinics nationwide by a cross sectional survey.
Nutrition status of adolescent is an important public health concern. Cross-sectional study was conducted on 1,472 children in ethnic minority boarding schools in Van Chan district, Yen Bai Province in 2017 to describe body composition features of adolescents aged 11-14 in the mountain region.
The objective of this study was to research the acceptability and preference of fortified biscuits in primary school children. The study was a community intervention in 17 weeks (85 days). Children (n= 184) from two primary schools in Gia Binh district – Bac Ninh province were recruited. They were divided into 2 groups. Control group: had biscuits fortified with calcium. Intervention group: had biscuits fortified with calcium and vitamin D2. Each child had 25 g of biscuits per day.
Maternal anemia and low birth weight babies are common among rural Vietnamese women, particularly among underweight women. In developing countries, positive maternal and infant health outcomes are associated with intake of animal source foods (ASF).

The study was conducted to evaluate nutritional status of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in Bach Mai Hospital in 2014. Using the cross-sectional method in 150 patients with COPD, indicators for nutritional status were body mass index (BMI), middle upper arm circumference (MUAC) and subjective global assessment (SGA).

A Knowledge-Practice–Coverage (KPC) baseline survey has been conducted in 6 project 6 IFEN II project provinces and one commune of Ha Tay aimed to gather information on breastfeeding and child feeding/care knowledge and practices. The results showed: The rate of mother gave breastfeeding to the child before 1 hour after birth among 6 project provinces was 45.8% in average, lower than that in Ha Tay 2006, 69.4%.
Objective: Assessment of nutritional status and dietary intake of hospitalized patients with gastrointestinal diseases. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study on 276 patients hospitalized in gastroenterology ward of Quang Nam central general hospital was conducted.

Iron deficiency anemia is still a common public health concern in several regions of Vietnam. The prevalence is high in pregnant women and one of effective interventions is iron supplementation. This study aims to investigate knowledge and practices on nutrition and anemia prevention of pregnant women from Muong minority group, as well as relevant factors affecting iron supplementation scheme, from which to develop an effective intervention program for this target group.

Objective: To develop a method to detect curcumin concentration in health supplement by high performance liquid chromatography with a photodiode array detector. Method: Curcurmin was extracted by sonication in methanol for 30 min and separated by a reversed phase C18 column using a mobile phase including buffer, methanol and acetonitrile.

The clinical trial was conducted in adults, who are overweight/obese. It is evident that the weight reducing milk is safe, convenient and has no side effects. After 6 weeks of trial, the product had the efficacy of reducing weight, which is 5.9% of average body weight (3.9kg).
Several factors that influence histamine content in scad products were investigated in a cross sectional study in Thanh Hoa province in 2012. Histamine levels were found from 0.28mg/kg to 1665mg/kg in fresh scads and from 0.08mg/kg to 241mg/kg in processed scads. The histamine content depends on the type of scad, duration from purchasing to processing, the storage conditions, and primary-processing procedures.
