The author suggested several methods to improve the quality and safety in the production of fish sauce and Soya sauce, relating to their ingredients, process and techniques used.
A case-control study was carried out in 226 dead newborns in 2004 and 227 alive infants born in the period from 1st January 2004 to 31st December 2004 (matched by sex, age, and location with the dead newborns) in 232 communes of Hanoi. Dietary is a treatment therapy of primary intestinal lymphangiectasia (PIL). The study was conducted on 1,657 women from 40 to 65 years old in 6 wards and communes in 3 areas of Thai Binh province. The cross-sectional study assessed the distribution system of multi-micronutrient supplementation; knowledge, practices of both pregnant women and women aged 15-49 on using multi-micronutrient supplementation at 4 communes in Kon Tum. Combining secondary data analysis, structured questionnaire interviews, focus group discussions and in-depth interviews, the results showed that a distribution system of multi-micronutrient supplements has been deployed at these communes in Kon Tum.

After examining bone density by ALOKA machine (Japan), 259 osteophenia women at the age of 40 – 65 were selected for the control group. A cross-sectional study was carried out at the end of 2005 to assess the nutritional status in children 11-14 years old in Binh Luc district, Ha Nam province. Body weight, height of 2671 children (male/female= 50.6%/49.4%) were collected and compared with those of Vietnamese children of the same age and gender in 2 previous periods: before 1975 and between 1981‑1985.
This article aims to introduce the present knowledge on the role of sprinkles in control of child micronutrient deficiency and malnutrition. The study in the reducing in postprandial glycemia of Cleistocalyx operculatus (Roxb.) Merr and Perry flower bud in 20 type 2 diabetic patients was carried out in Hanoi. There are 2 days to do the experiments: the first day, patients were given 150 ml of water with eating the meal (330 kcal); the second day (after the first day is 7 days), all these 20 patient were given 150 ml of Nu Voi tea and eating the same meal.
Reduction in childhood malnutrition in Vietnam between 1985; 2005 and 2009 was examined using data of some national surveys. The prevalence of malnutrition, including stunting, reduced significantly for underweight from 59.7% in 1985 to 31.9% in 2009 with an average reduction of 1.2% per year in the period from 1985 to 2009.
